Over the years, a number of large yaupon bushes had grown out of control and were completely obscuring many of the graves in three different areas of the cemetery. Some of the grave markers could not even be seen due to the heavy undergrowth.
In December 2018, the board hired a contractor to completely remove this brush. The work was completed in January 2019, leaving the cemetery looking completely different. If you have not been to the cemetery recently, we invite you to come visit and see for yourself how much better it looks.
